After Dark In The Playing Fields
Quis est iste qui venit?

And I find I do not like a crowd after dark — for example at the Fourth of June fireworks. You see — no, you do not, but I see — such curious faces: and the people to whom they belong flit about so oddly, often at your elbow when you least expect it, and looking close into your face, as it they were searching for someone — who may be thankful, I think, if they do not find him. ‘Where do they come from?’ Why, some, I think, out of the Water, and some out of the ground. They look like that. But I am sure it is best to take no notice of them, and not to touch them.”

—M.R. James (1862-1936), from “After Dark in the Playing Fields”

The Grim Twins:

GND  GND is a fancier of fine old things, nostalgic whimsies and magics both macabre and melancholy.  She is a shadow seamstress, star stitcher, word witch and weaver of the weird.

The daughter of a Scandinavian astrologer and a German sculptor, she inherits the curious disposition of one who, in interpreting celestial signs from the heavens, has also has the inclination to forge these fortunes to fit her future.  She currently resides in the state of gardens, enjoys her coffee a great deal, and is a friend to all felines.

OTB has Mercury (and most of the other planets) firmly in Scorpio, giving her an insatiable interest in the mysterious and strange.  She is particularly fond of gothic and weird literature and exploring abandoned ruins.  All of her houses have been haunted.
